As an educator, I’ve long been interested in the ways that technology can connect us with one another. I’ve built many websites and blogs and enjoy dabbling in creative online spaces.

Over the last couple of years, I’ve been thinking more and more about my online presence and considering all of the places that I post information and updates. For the longest time, my website was a space where I shared many aspects of my life, from work to family and all points in between.

Recently, I decided that I wanted to create a space that was dedicated to my recent interest in woodturning. Over the last ten years, I’ve taken to turning wood as a means of ‘unplugging’ from this wired world and restoring some of the balance in my life. I’ve had many people reach out and ask where they can purchase my work and it just makes sense that I create my own space to share my work with the world.

I don’t turn wood for the money. I turn wood because I want to uncover the treasure that lays within a chunk of wood that may have no perceived value.
